There is a great deal of "news" these days on EWTN about Pope Pius XII - probably in preparation for his beatification and canonization to follow upon that of Pope John Paul II. Now we know that Pope Pius XII read the Third Secret and consecrated the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. And I think this Pope's definition of the Assumption of Mary, Body and Soul into Heaven, upon her Dormition, could also be related somehow to the Third Secret. It is well known, also, that Pope Pius XII was urged to call an ecumenical council, in order to combat the evils of the day, but he refused to call such a council..?
Is it not highly possible, and even probable, that the reason he refused was because the Third Secret warned of an evil council? I think it less probable that Our Lady was any more specific than that. But what was the rest of the 25 lines about? Could Our Lady have been so specific as to mention a false science, - as St. Paul does in his first letter to Timothy, Chapter 6, verse 20? I think she might have referred in a general way to certain Scriptures, as Sister Lucy did to chapters 8 through 13 of the Apocalypse.
Only time will reveal it all to us, as God and Our Lady allow.
Kyrie, Eleison.
